The gentle hum of the station reverberated throughout the private observation deck. Nexus, the planet the Dominion had been so keen on acquiring, sat just out of reach like a gleaming teal jewel, lighting up the room with its color.

And there it would sit until further notice. The dominion withdrew its forces for reasons unknown and placed this observation post to keep an eye on everything. What luck that you were part of the skeleton crew responsible for keeping it operational.

"This bores me." A deep, mechanical, and yet distinctly feminine voice interrupted your internal monologue. Violet, your old partner during the Nexus incursion, continued. "Has there been word from Arctium yet?"

"I haven't checked today, you want me t-"

"Don't bother." she slowly stood and turned toward you, a predatory look in her eyes. "I have a better use for you, Cassian."
