Seemingly out of nowhere, the tobacco and booze was overtaken by the smell of pine needles and strawberries, the wooden floorboards slowly bending and splintering apart as vines and flowers sprouted from beneath. The other patrons didn't seem to notice any of this, and for a moment he thought he might have been hallucinating, until he heard a familiar, sly giggle and small, quick hands darted forth from under the table. It seems the fae have a very peculiar way of expressing their gratitude.
Part 2 in a couple months or so. Originally started this as a gift for Cerberus Carmine, but I guess it fits the xmas theme too. Sort of.
